1. Eat Some Chocolate
Most people already know to wear sunblock and sunglasses to protect the delicate skin around the eyes from the UV rays of the sun. What these same people may not know is that dark chocolate may also help to protect against some damage from sunlight. Research reveals that the cocoa extract in dark chocolate helps protect against the damage from UV light.
Studies show that it takes only about an ounce of dark chocolate a day to help protect the skin from UV damage. The benefits apply to all the skin and not just the area around the eyes. However, this is useful information for anyone concerned about eye wrinkles since this sensitive area is often one of the first places where wrinkles appear.
2. Use Gentle Motions
Foundation, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and other products around the eyes do not cause skin damage. How people apply the products could be the problem. The movements can help to boost circulation and potentially reduce the fluid retention that causes bags under the eyes.
